4 Tips to Improve Productivity In-Store

We have all dealt with the occasional lazy employee in store. They aren't showing initiative, and sit in front of the computer or on their phone all day waiting for something to do. If you're wondering how to get your employees up and working, follow these four tips!

  • Remove all the chairs that you have.

There’s always work to be done on the floor, whether that be organizing dresses and accessories, or steaming and unpacking shipments.

  • Make a rainy day checklist.

Sometimes, they just don't know what to do or when to do it, so time block their day and have a checklist they can follow.

  • Pick up the pace in store.

Close a couple days and pack appointments on Saturdays and be less available.

  • Keep the energy up.

Keeping busy keeps the energy and excitement up.

Try this for 60 to 90 days, then try again in 6 months to see if it does or doesn’t work.
